vocabulary Albert Einstein: "The most incomprehensible thing in this world is that it is comprehensible."

– (short for “cross pass”) A medium- to-long-range pass after which the ball flies through the air. The main purpose of a cross is to get the ball skilfully into the penalty area, where it can be scored with a head or foot shot. Typically, this is done in the air to avoid nearby defenders, but it can also be done powerfully on the ground. It's a fast and efficient strategy.
