Boxing terms
Boxing is one of the types of combat sports with fists (also known as "pugilism" - "fistfight" and prizefighting - "fight for a prize"). Boxing has been an Olympic sport since 1904. Boxing is a speed-power sport, characterized by complex coordination, non-cyclical nature, and non-standard nature. The essence of boxing comes down to a ring meeting of two opponents who try to inflict the most accurate and powerful punches on each other with fists protected by special gloves, while receiving the least number of such punches from the opponent, performing defenses and movements in full compliance with the rules of the bouts.
