Chinese Proverb: "The temptation to surrender will be especially strong shortly before victory."
– a defensive tactic in which: 1 – the defender mostly stays in their designated area of the field, doing everything to prevent the creation of operative space for the attacking team (zone defense); 2 – the defender does everything to stay as close as possible to the opponent player they're guarding, trying to intercept passes or prevent them from making passes or shots (personal defense). In modern football, a mixed type of defense is most often used.
