Judo
– (from Japanese 柔道 “jūdō” – “gentle way” or “flexible way”) is one of the types of sport wrestling, which is international and appeared in Japan in the late 19th century. According to the rules of judo, throws, holds, choking holds, joint locks with arbitrary grips on body parts and clothing are allowed. To win a clean victory ("ippon"), a clean throw, joint lock, choking hold, or hold must be executed. The sports uniform is a judogi (kimono and trousers).
