– (roller or press wheel, gymnastic wheel, fitness wheel) a sports apparatus used in gymnastics, consisting of a wheel with two handles on either side. During exercises, the roller is held with outstretched arms, with support on the knees or toes, and the apparatus is slowly rolled forward and then returned to its starting position. Increased loads are achieved by increasing the amplitude of the movement, as well as by repeating the exercise.
