We stood in the water, wearing long rubber boots. We caught perch on live bait, caught right under our feet in the reeds. The perch were biting excellently. Unfortunately, this spot was already known to other fishermen, who successfully scared off larger specimens... Mostly small perch were caught, which were immediately released back.
To enter this underwater sandbar, you still need to know-how... there's a whole "water path." Otherwise, I risked scooping water into my boot three times... or even falling.

A fishing spot is never empty... and vice versa. A real fisherman in the center, and the one on the left is a "random apprentice" (a guy on the left who witnessed dad's successful catch the day before and drew an obvious lesson from it).
"The bait should be somewhere under the right foot... I definitely saw it!"
I felt sorry for the fish... to catch them. I saved drowning beetles, placing them on a life-saving stem of aquatic plants. As a result of the operation, 3 individuals of different species were saved. And I watched my dad expertly pulling out one perch after another.
