World people's menu. Diets of people from different points of the planet

Health and Beauty

Photojournalist Peter Menzel and his wife and author Vera D'Aluisio, from California, spent three years visiting 30 countries! In each country, they found out what the daily ration of its inhabitants was

As a result, an exciting study of people's diets depending on their country of residence emerged. The Menzel family's long journey was embodied in a stunning photobook called "What I Eat: Around The World In 80 Diets", where Peter captured many interesting people, such as a real sumo wrestler from Japan or a Tibetan shepherd. Each photograph is accompanied by a detailed menu of the people's daily ration, a brief description of taste preferences, and cultural features of the cuisine.

The book is structured according to the increasing caloric content of the diet, starting with a Kenyan Maasai shepherd, whose daily ration is only 800 calories a day, and ending with a British mom with an eating disorder who is forced to consume about 12,300 calories per day. Here are some of them.
