In a person's life, there are very few factors that affect their body as strongly as the products they consume. Therefore, dietary recommendations have existed since ancient times. With the advancement of science, researchers have been able to experimentally study how harmful or beneficial the things people eat are. Not to be left behind, scientists from Harvard University (United Kingdom) compiled their own list of products capable of extending human life.

To draw conclusions about which types of food are important for longevity, researchers studied the lives of 30 thousand respondents. Based on the results of such a large-scale experiment, British scientists developed recommendations concerning the regular consumption of products capable of positively affecting the body's condition. Moreover, it seems that such food can even extend a person's life.

A brief list of beneficial items

Number one in terms of importance of consumption were vegetables and fruits. Although this information may not surprise many, it is worth reminding once again that these gifts of nature are extremely important for the normal functioning of the human body. In addition, scientists claim that the daily diet should include as many colorful vegetables as possible. They can normalize metabolism and help lose excess weight, reducing the risk of a heart attack by 42%, provided that three servings are consumed per day.

At the second place in terms of usefulness is green tea. When consumed in reasonable amounts, the risk of developing digestive system cancer is reduced by 20%. Green tea owes its beneficial properties to catechins, and for successful prevention, it is enough to drink one cup a day.['pagetitle']

Third on the list of recommended products are rice and sesame bran, the benefits of which have been known for a long time. Such results of research by Harvard specialists became another confirmation that proper nutrition is one of the most important things in a person's life, moreover, the consumption of beneficial products can even make this very life longer.
