Recipe: Ginger cookies with oat flakes
Ingredients:
- 4 egg whites
- 5 tbsp. oat flakes or bran
- 1.5 tbsp. low-fat cottage cheese
- 1.5 tbsp. dried ginger
- 1 tsp. honey
- a few drops of vanilla essence
Note: If you don't like cottage cheese, you can add low-fat yogurt instead, which will give a more delicate taste.
Preparation:
- Whisk chilled egg whites on medium speed for 2-3 minutes.
- Add ginger, oat flakes, honey, cottage cheese, and vanilla essence. Mix well; you should get a soft dough. If the dough is slightly hard, you can add some milk or kefir, and vice versa - if it's too liquid, add a little more bran.
- Let the dough rest for 10 minutes under a plastic wrap.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper, lightly greased with oil. Shape the cookies with your hands, in the desired form, and place them on the baking sheet.
- Bake in the oven for 15 minutes at 180 degrees Celsius (356 degrees Fahrenheit).
- When the cookies are golden, you can sprinkle nuts on top and bake for a couple more minutes.
Voila, it's diet-friendly, delicious, and healthy!
